Nigerian entertainer, Debo Adedayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has criticized the Chairperson of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, over her reaction to Fuji singer Kwam1’s apology regarding an airport disruption.

Naijaonpoint reports that Dabiri-Erewa had reacted to the incident by acknowledging the apology, which Macaroni described as unacceptable and a dangerous precedent.

The skitmaker argued that her stance suggested that wrongdoing could be excused with a simple apology, without any real consequences.

Macaroni compared the case to the swift imprisonment of a woman involved in a recent Ibom Air incident, insisting that those who humiliated her should face prosecution.

According to him, the disparity in how the two cases were handled showed a lack of fairness in Nigeria’s justice system.

He demanded that everyone involved in obstructing the aircraft or exposing the woman’s nakedness online should be charged.

Macaroni also challenged the Minister of State for Labour, Festus Keyamo, to go beyond social media commentary and ensure legal action is taken.

He questioned why there appeared to be no punishment for obstructing a plane’s movement, while others were quickly jailed for lesser offences.

He concluded by accusing the authorities of applying the law unevenly, saying it appeared that justice in Nigeria depends on who is involved in the case.

He wrote: “Ma, I just want to say that this is highly reprehensible. You don’t deserve to hold a public office. You have set a very dangerous precedent with this tweet.  You have told Nigerians it is okay to commit a crime and can issue an apology to absolve yourself without consequences.”
