Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has congratulated Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her 65th birthday, describing her as “an amazon and a source of inspiration to millions of Nigerians.”

Naijaonpoint reports that in a goodwill message personally signed on Sunday, Ododo praised the First Lady for a life defined by compassion, service, and devotion to God.

The governor lauded Oluremi Tinubu’s impact on women, children, and the less privileged.

“Your Excellency, we celebrate a life of compassion, exemplary strength, and dedication to the welfare of women, children, and the less privileged. You continue to inspire hope across Nigeria,” Ododo said.

He added that at 65, the First Lady remains a testimony to God’s grace and a purposeful life.

“On behalf of the Government and people of Kogi State, I heartily rejoice with you, and I pray that the Almighty will grant you many more years in good health, wisdom, and strength,” he added.

Ododo expressed confidence that the First Lady would continue to support the President and promote noble causes to uplift Nigerians.

“We are confident that you will continue to support Mr. President and advance the noble causes that bring progress to our nation,” the Kogi governor noted.

Earlier on Sunday, President Bola Tinubu released a midnight tribute celebrating his wife as his “confidant, counsellor, and steady anchor” through decades of political and personal trials.

“As you celebrate your 65th birthday today, I honour not only the love of my life, but also a woman whose quiet strength and enduring grace have been my steadying anchor. Through every season, from the long years of struggle and political exile, to leadership responsibilities, you have stood firmly by my side with dignity, patience, and devotion that words can scarcely express,” the President’s message read in part.

Widely respected as an advocate for women’s empowerment and youth development, Oluremi Tinubu has built a reputation as a lawmaker and now as First Lady.

Naijaonpoint reports that before assuming her current role, she served three consecutive terms as Senator representing Lagos Central, sponsoring several bills and interventions focused on education, social welfare, and gender equity.

As First Lady, she has championed humanitarian and empowerment causes, especially through the Renewed Hope Initiative, which targets economic empowerment, agriculture, social investment, and health support for vulnerable Nigerians.
