‘You Need A Psychiatric Evaluation’ – Kanunta Blasts Buhari’s Ex-Aide Over Comments On Nnamdi Kanu’s Release

Kanunta Kanu, the brother of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has called for a psychiatric evaluation of Bashir Ahmad, a former media aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari.

Naijaonpoint reports that Kanunta’s remark came after Ahmad stated that those advocating for Kanu’s release were enemies of Nigeria.

Kanu’s brother responded strongly, accusing Ahmad of failing to address the ongoing terrorism in Northern Nigeria while collaborating with what he described as the “worst government in Nigeria’s history.”

He further criticized Ahmad for questioning Kanu’s stance and for suggesting that Kanu should renounce his views on corruption and marginalization of the Igbo people.

In his reaction on social media, Kanunta questioned Ahmad’s integrity, asserting that Kanu’s messages have always been consistent and that the call for the release was based on legitimate concerns.

Kanunta posted on X: “Bashir Ahmad quoted that he would only support Kanu’s release if the separatist leader undergoes rehabilitation and renounces his derogatory views about Nigeria and its citizens.

“@BashirAhmaad Mazi Nnamdi Kanu message has been consistently consistent and every word that came out of his mouth has come to pass.

“What do you want #MNK to renounce, that Nigeria is corrupt, that Igbo’s are marginalised or that he wants the freedom of his people?

“Bashir Ahmad, you need a psychiatric evaluation for failing to end terrorism in the North and for working with the worst government in the history of Nigeria. Aren’t you ashamed of yourself and the damage morons like you have caused the country?”
