Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson has issued a statement following the withdrawal of charges against lady who defamed her husband, Prince Odi Okojie.
Kemi Filani reported that the famous actress had arrested TikTok content creator Eedie Bliss for sharing unconfirmed news about her family. Eedie said Mercy allegedly connived with the pregnant mistress’s house help to cause her miscarriage.
Following her accusation, the Tiktok creator was arrested and detained in Abuja following a petition by Mercy Johnson’s husband, but was later released.
Confirming her release on Instagram hours ago, Johnson said she has withdrawn the charges against her out of love and respect for numerous individuals.
She begged netizens to leave her family alone.
“For the love of respect we have for numerous individuals, we have decided to withdraw the charges against their lady in question.
Please, you all should leave my family alone”.
In other news, last year, a famous blogger alleged that Johnson was feuding with her husband’s side chicks.
The blogger claimed that the politician had impregnated one of them, and he had upgraded her lifestyle, but forgot to cover his tracks. According to the blog, Mercy, who was on his trail, found out and succeeded in getting to the side chick through help, and the help helped her feed the side chick a concoction that aborted what would have been her stepchild.
In response, Johnson, via her Instagram page, shared loved-up photos of herself and her husband, revealing that she hadn’t slept because ‘no sleep for the wicked’.
Joining his wife to shut down the rumours, he shared a loved-up video of them from their daughter, Angel’s 10th birthday party.
The shocking news came less than two months after they celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary with family photos. Mercy described her husband as her friend and strength, as she credited God for being behind them. She noted how people said no to their union, but God said yes, and how people tried to ruin their marriage, but God kept fixing it all.
While sharing a lovely video of her family, Mercy had stated that her family is all she has and that all matters.
