Rita Daniels, the mother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has blasted her daughter’s estranged husband, Ned Nwoko, for arresting her son.
Kemi Filani reported on Monday night that Daniels had cried out to the public after Ned allegedly arrested her siblings. She said Ned had arrested her siblings in a bid to pressure her to return to him, and return to rehab.
In a video posted on Instagram story by another of Regina’s brothers, Sweezy, her mother had accused Ned of using Daniels for fame.
She said the politician married Regina because he wanted someone with a high star to boost his fallen star. She promised him that he would go down if he thinks he can bite the finger that fed him.
The veteran noted how her daughter supported his senatorial election with $50k. She noted how they have been covering up and making him feel like an Odogwu.
“You wanted someone with a high star to boost your fallen star. If you think you can bite the finger that fed you, you’ll go down. My daughter supported your senatorial election with $10k. We are covering you up and making you feel like an Odogwu, you’re mad”.
Recall that last week, Regina had alleged that she was facing domestic violence in her marriage to Ned Nwoko. In a viral clip, the actress was seen crying as she stated that in her husband’s house she isn’t a queen.
Ned, in a public statement, had attributed the tension to what he described as her “battle with drugs and alcohol abuse.” According to Nwoko, his efforts to help his wife seek professional treatment are always resisted. The senator further alleged that Regina had engaged in violent behaviour at home, claiming she assaulted three domestic staff and destroyed property.
Regina Daniels’ elder brother, Sweezzy, had dismissed Ned’s report of drug abuse as he noted how there is no perfect couple.
Their younger sister, Destiny Daniels, had shared photos of the scars the actress got from Ned, as she debunked reports of her reconciliation with Ned.
