Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has slammed social media activist Very Dark Man for criticising the Big 3 – Burna Boy, Wizkid and Davido.
In an Instagram video, the activist slammed them over their display of wealth amid the economy’s hardship. He questioned their impact on society, stating that all they do is buy cars worth billions, which they show off to the public.
He expressed more displeasure in Burna Boy, who he noted was once vocal about social ills in the country before becoming financially buoyant.
Defending the big 3, Portable slammed Very Dark Man, questioning how he can say the music stars aren’t helping people. He reminded Very Dark Man of Davido’s donation to charity and Burna Boy’s gift of N20 million to him.
Portable also reminded VDM that he was once drinking pure water before he could afford money to buy a Benz.
“How can you say that Davido, Wizkid and Burna Boy are only buying cars and not helping people? Have you forgotten that Davido donated to charity? Have you forgotten that Burna Boy gave me N20 million? You were always drinking pure water before, didn’t you buy Benz?”.
Last year, Very Dark Man had called for the arrest of Portable for allegedly assaulting a man in the toilet at the just-concluded Felabration event in Lagos. Sharing a clip of the singer and the alleged man, he called for the singer’s arrest as he urged the victim to reach out to him.
Reacting to it, Portable, in a video posted on his Instagram page, told the activist to ask about him in Abuja as he made him know that online madness is different from real-life madness. The controversial singer called for his fans and supporters to say no to ripping and online bullying.
