“You wouldn’t become a widow at an early age” – Regina Chukwu rains powerful prayers on her daughter as she turns 24

Nollywood actress Regina Chukwu is celebrating her daughter, Chiamaka Rachel Mitchell, who turns 24 today.

In a lengthy post on her Instagram page, she noted that 24 years ago, she became a mother. She recalled how the cry of joy and happiness filled the whole atmosphere, and her parents became grandparents while her late husband became a father.

Regina expressed pride in her daughter and affirmed her love for her as she rained prayers on her.

“On this day exactly 24 years ago, I BECAME A MOTHER.
The cry of joy and happiness filled the whole atmosphere
My mother became a first-time grandmother, likewise, my daddy as I gave Papa and Mama Chi their first grandbaby
I can still remember her father peeping through the door and the smile that lingered through his corner lips
My aunty was the first to come to the hospital as she was the one I told when leaving brimmed with joy, meaning
I felt proud of myself as I set my eyes on the most adorable baby girl

Last month, while celebrating her birthday, Regina counted her blessings. She noted how, despite being a widow, she was still grinding.

Last year, the Yoruba actress was left emotional as her daughter graduated from Babcock University. Crediting it to her Maker, she noted how she was a single mother without any help or support from anyone. Yet, she was able to single-handedly see her kids through one of the most expensive private Universities in the country.

In 2023, Chukwu expressed excitement about being a proud mother, saying that her late husband would be proud of her. She said she had a lot of stories to share about her life but would leave them until sometime in the future or probably make a movie about them.
