Following disappointing first-week sales of his fourth studio album, UY Scuti, Young Thug has announced his upcoming “Hometown Hero” benefit concert in Atlanta.
Atlanta’s State Farm Arena will come alive on Tuesday, December 16, when Thugger takes the stage for his “Hometown Hero” concert promoting his new album.
Billboard reported that the album debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling just 52,000 units in its first week of sales. These numbers were despite the fact that the album featured an array of celebrity appearances, including Cardi B, Future, Lil Baby, Travis Scott and YFN Lucci.
Tickets for the show will be available tomorrow (October 8) via Ticketmaster.
Young Thug faced major backlash last month after leaked jail calls revealed his true feelings about several of his celebrity friends, including Future, Lil Baby, and even fellow rapper, GloRilla, whom he was forced to publicly apologize to after calling her “ugly af” to his then-girlfriend, Mariah the Scientist.
He claims that Mariah has broken up with him after his cheating ways were divulged in more than one call, with one call even exposing the rapper’s plans to start a family with another woman.
