Young Thug proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Mariah the Scientist, during his Hometown Hero Benefit Concert at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on Tuesday night, December 16, 2025.
The rapper paused his performance mid-set and turned his attention to Mariah, who was standing nearby on stage, stunning both her and the crowd.
As fans screamed, the words “Will You Marry Me” lit up the screens behind him while Young Thug, born Jeffery Williams, presented an engagement ring. Mariah accepted the proposal in front of thousands and later addressed the audience with visible excitement, joking, “I guess I’m getting married.”

Young Thug and Mariah the Scientist began dating in late 2021 after collaborating musically, following his split from former fiancée Jerrika Karlae.
