‘Your Favourite Artists Do It All The Time’ – Terry G Speaks On Stealing Hit Song From AY.com

Terry G

Nigerian singer, Gabriel Oche Amanyi, better known as Terry G, has described the allegations of stealing the hit song ‘Pass Me Your Love’ from his colleague and collaborator, AY.com, as pure ignorance.

Naijaonpoint recalls that Terry G faced criticism for performing the track, which featured him as a guest artist, at his shows in years past.

Critics accused him of appropriating the song from AY.com by frequently performing it at events.

Addressing the longstanding allegations, Terry G. said in a post via 𝕏 on Thursday that he has every right to perform a song he collaborated on.

According to him, many other Nigerian artists do the same thing, and criticising him is hypocritical.

Terry G further alleged that the supposed hijacking controversy contributed to the decline of AY.com’s career.

He wrote, “To those saying I stole ‘Pass Me Your Love’ from Ay.com that’s pure ignorance. So I don’t have the right to perform a song I collaborated on? Your favourite artists do it all the time, but when it’s me, it becomes a problem. Hypocrisy at its finest.

“And no, I didn’t put the song on my album it was never about ownership, it was about collaboration.

“Some of you ruined AY’s moment with your noise, not me. As for my shine, nobody can block it. You no reach.”
