Yul Edochie reveals his 2026 motto as he drops important advice

Nollywood actor Yul Edochie is starting the New Year with advice to the public.

The controversial actor, via his Instagram page, revealed his 2026 motto: “No gree for yourself.” He said that sometimes it isn’t enemy that are stopping them or their village people, but themselves.

He noted that laziness, fear of failure, fear of what people will say, fear of the unknown, and other factors stop people from reaching their goals.

Yul admonished the public to throw fear away, make that move, make that big call and take that bold step. He stressed that the positive thing that scares them the most is what they should do in 2026.

“2026 Motto: No Gree For Yourself.
Sometimes, it’s not your enemies stopping you; it’s not your village people; it’s you who is stopping you.
Laziness, fear of failure, fear of what people will say, fear of the unknown.
This year, don’t allow yourself to stop you.
No gree for yourself
Throw fear away.
Make that move, make that big call, take that bold step.
That positive thing that scares you the most, that’s what you should do in 2026″.

In 2024, Yul credited himself as the originator of ‘Nwunye Odogwu”, as he noted how, in 2022, he launched the name by using it to praise his second wife, Judy. Now, the name has become popular, and many have adopted it.

He had claimed to be the originator of the popular slang for the year, “No gree for anybody”. Explaining how he revealed that people had been telling him that he was the one who started the slogan, and when he investigated the matter, he believed them, hence why he was demanding credit.

Still on his motivational words, the former presidential aspirant admonished his fans not to worry about what the next person is doing as they should focus on their work. Yul stated that the competition is against poverty and not against one another.

The son of Pete Edochie threw a question at those who aren’t making an impact in the world. He said that if nobody talks about you, you should do something and let them talk.

The controversial actor had also sent a message to Nigerians on the importance of helping people. He said if God blesses one, they should bless others, even if they don’t appreciate it.

In a message to young people, he stated that no calls, phone, or material stuff are worth killing someone for, and neither is it worth doing a crime. He admonished them to stop feeling intimidated and keep doing legit business.

He had also made a clarion call to his fans and followers on social media about the need to spread love across and beyond. He voiced out that there’s so much hate and envy in the world and there’s a need to kill it with love.
