Zamfara Rep Bags Suspension Over Alleged Anti-Party Activities

The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Saturday suspended Hon. Sani Jaji, a member representing Birnin Magaji/Kaura Namoda Federal Constituency at the National Assembly.

The suspension notice is contained in a Statement signed by the party’s spokesperson Yusuf Idris.

The spokesperson said the confirmation of the suspension of Hon Jaji from the party followed a notice of suspension slammed on him by the APC Executive Committee in Birnin Magaji Ward.

Idris said the decision to suspend Hon Jaji was at an emergency meeting of the State Executive Committee of the party where Jaji’s anti party activities were discussed extensively.

“At the meeting, a fact-finding committee on anti-party activities established in the aftermath of the 2023 Zamfara State governorship election was presented to the state’s committee for deliberations by members,” he added.

“The findings of the committee as contained in its July 2023 report captured Hon. Sani Jaji and his involvement in anti-party activities.

“The committees recommended for his immediate suspension pending the review and deliberations by the State Disciplinary Committee and subsequent ratification by the State Executive Committee.

“The 7-Man State Disciplinary Committee also recommended his suspension from the party having failed to appear before the committee despite several invitations given to him.

“Now, the State Executive Committee has reviewed the earlier findings made by the State Disciplinary Committee and agreed with its recommendations and resolved to suspend him based on the findings,” he stated.
