One person has been reported dead and another injured following a head-on collision between a car and a truck on Friday afternoon.
The car is a Kia vehicle with registration number KWL-475CZ.
Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) reported that the incident occurred at Isolo Under Bridge inward Oshodi, the car travelling at high speed collided with the 20-foot containerised truck.
The force of impact, led to the death of a female passenger in the car, while the driver sustained serious injuries, and has been taken to a nearby hospital, LASTMA said.
LASTMA said its officials and police officers responded to the scene and rescued the trapped victim using light rescue equipment.
The body of the deceased has been transported to the mortuary by the Lagos State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit (SEHMU).
LATMA said the accident vehicle has been taken to Olosan Police Station.
The identities of the victims had not been revealed at the time of filing this report.
