Sennheiser has expanded its range of HD 600 series of headphones by launching the HD 620S. The latest Sennheiser HD 620S is designed to provide the perfect balance of hi-fi sound and isolation in the closed headphones category, claims the brand. The new HD 600 series offering targets both music lovers and gamers.

The Sennheiser HD 620S flaunts 42mm drivers to offer reference-grade sound

Sennheiser has packed the new HD 620S headphones with 42mm angled transducers. They work with a 38mm diaphragm to produce a reference-grade sound to provide an immersive audio experience. The closed-back headphones flaunt an ultra-light 150-ohm aluminum voice coil, which is touted to offer enhanced clarity and accurate audio reproduction. The coil delivers punchy dynamic sound across the entire frequency spectrum.

The HD 620S is touted to produce a much louder bass response than the HD 600 in the 20-100Hz frequency spectrum. Overall, the new Sennheiser headphones offer a frequency response from 6Hz to 30kHz.

The HD 620S draws design inspiration from the more premium HD 600/500 series

Sennheiser mentioned that the HD 620S draws inspiration from the HD 600 & 500 series of premium headphones in terms of design. The wearable’s chassis is lightweight and is bolstered by premium touches. It features steel-reinforced headband sliders, spacious ear cup covers, and ear pads created from artificial leather. The company claims the HD 620S headphones are designed to be worn comfortably for long hours without experiencing fatigue.

The Sennheiser HD 620S is sold with a 1.8m-long detachable cable and a 3.5mm plug. There’s also a 3.5mm to 6.3mm adapter in the package that lets you connect to more audio devices. The company also offers a storage pouch with the whole package to keep dust at bay.

The Sennheiser HD 620S is already available to pre-order on the company’s website. The new headphones cost $349.95 and will start shipping from June 6. The brand will also sell an optional 4.4mm cable later this summer. In case, you are looking for wireless earbuds instead, then Sennheiser’s premium Momentum Sport earbuds just went on sale for $329.95.
