Meta’s Threads is fast approaching its one-year anniversary, and the company has really transformed into a proper Twitter/X competitor. It’s been gaining features left and right recently, and that continues today. Threads will now make it much easier to see post view counts.
Things didn’t look too good for Threads several months ago. Just a few months after the platform reached 100 million users, we got the news that its user base tanked and was sitting at about half of that. However, after getting a plethora of useful features, Threads is now sitting at over 150 million users. It seems to be getting pretty close to X’s user base, and we’re certain that that makes the Elon Musk-owned platform a bit squeamish.
Threads is making it easier for people to see post view counts
Most of the time, if you are making posts on a social media platform, you want to know how they are doing. Also, you may be curious as to how other posts are doing.
Well, Instagram CEO, Adam Mosseri, just released a post letting us know that we can easily see post view counts using Threads. Once you receive the feature, you will be able to easily tap on a post to receive metrics about its view count. This is very useful, as you want to know if ...s you’re making are getting any traction. This way, you can make changes to the types of content you post in order to better optimize your posting strategy.
When you tap on a post, you will see the view count appear right under the “Thread” text at the very top of the UI. This is very convenient, but one question still remains: how does Threads calculate the view count? Does a person have to actually engage with ... for it to register as a view, or does it count if the user just scrolls past ... on their feed?
In any case, it’s still nice to get some sort of feedback as to how much traction your posts are getting on Threads.
