Nollywood actress Toke Makinwa says she is tired of being an independent woman.
The media personality stated this while lamenting the biting economic hardship on her Instagram page recently.
Makinwa, who just returned from a foreign trip, said she came home to fuel scarcity and electricity tariff hike.
She wrote: “Yoooo, landed in Lagos to all this madness, petrol scarcity, electricity tariff hike, diesel prices not smiling. What is all these? Independent woman don taya [tire] o.”
It would be recalled that Toke Makinwa separated from her estranged husband, Maje Ayida, in 2015 after discovering that he had impregnated his ex-girlfriend.
Naijatimes had earlier reported that Reality TV star and actress, Victoria Iye, aka Vee, also bemoaned the current economic hardship as well as the escalating social tension in the country.
She lamented the ongoing fuel scarcity, weakening Naira, popular transvestite, Bobrisky’s imprisonment, Afrobeats artists’ war, general hardship and youth unseriousness.
On her X handle, she wrote: “It’s hot, there’s no fuel, there’s no light, the naira is in a laughable state, afro beats WW3, Bobrisky is in prison, only God knows what’s happening at Landmark, and the streets are filled with unserious wicked MARRIED souls.
“Nigeria, please.”
