By Adedapo Adesanya Crude oil declined on Friday, with Brent crude futures down by 71 cents or 0.85 per cent to $82.96 a barrel and the US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures lower by 84 cents or 1.06 per cent to $78.11 a barrel, as investors weighed weaker-than-expected jobs data and the timing of a Federal Reserve interest rate cut in the United States. For the week, Brent recorded a decline of about 7 per cent while WTI made a loss of 6.5 per cent. Investors are concerned that higher-for-longer interest rates will curb economic growth in the US,
