Devon Sawa has given an insight into why his character did not appear in Final Destination 2, despite looking death in the eye and making it of the original movie unscathed. 2000's Final Destination became a hit upon release, and spawned a very lucrative horror franchise. Final Destination 2 followed three years later, and it seemed only natural for him to appear in the sequel, but that honor, instead, went to his co-star Ali Larter. Now, as the first film approaches its 25th anniversary next year, Sawa is revealing why he didn't show up in the follow-up.
