The tech world never sleeps. We were finally able to rest after a rapid succession of events including CES, Samsung Galaxy unpacked, and MWC. Now, we are getting ready for the next major tech event. According to a new report, Google just teased the date for Google I/O 2024.

In case you don’t know, Google I/O is the company’s biggest developer conference of the year. It usually takes place in May, and we see a ton of new plans and innovations from the company. It’s a great way to get a glimpse of what Google is working on in regards to Search, Chrome, Android, Etc.

Google just teased the date for Google I/O 2024

We are soon to enter the mid-year tech lull. However, there’s still some stuff to get excited about, and Google I/O is one of them. The company likes to tease the date for I/O, and it just released its latest teaser today. This sort of tease will be right up your alley if you like playing puzzle games.  If you remember those games where you’d have to connect, for example, a water source to an outlet using a series of differently shaped pipes, then you will not have an issue with this game.

It’s called Break the Loop, which is pretty ironic because you are actually creating a loop. You have to create a closed loop between the start and finish points. Also, you have to use every single piece available. It’s possible to create a full loop without using every piece. However, you will not pass the level.

What to expect from Google I/O

At this point, details about the upcoming tech event are scarce. However, given what information we have now, we can guess what’s coming. Firstly, we know that Google is going to unveil its new ambitious plans regarding generative AI. Now that Gemini is the company’s flagship AI model, we can bet that Gemini will be getting the spotlight.

Next, since Android 15 is now in the testing phase, we are certain that the company is going to talk about new features coming to the new software platform. By the time we reach Google I/O, we know that Android 15 will be much further in production and probably much more accessible. So, we will hopefully see what to expect from it.

If Google I/O is happening in May, it will, ostensibly, be happening shortly before the launch of the Google Pixel 8a. If that’s the case, then we will, hopefully, get some sort of announcement or information on what this phone will offer. Along with that, we hope to also get information about the Pixel Tablet’s successor or the Pixel Fold’s successor. Google I/O is not typically about hardware, but the company teased the original Pixel Tablet (Review) during Google I/O 2022, and it also unveiled the Pixel 7a (Review).
