Late Nollywood actor Murphy Afolabi’s daughter, Faithia Afolabi has penned a lovely note to celebrate his posthumous birthday today the 5th of May.
Faithia Afolabi shared a video that captured her fond memories with her father before his untimely death. She wished her father a happy birthday with a forever love declaration.
She wrote in her note that she misses her day but is comforted with the fact that he’s in a better place. She promised to continue to cherish the good times they shared while he was alive.
“Happy birthday to you dad ❤️🕊️ I miss you every day, but I know that you’re in a better place now. I’m happy for you and on this birthday of yours, I want to wish you a happy birthday in heaven, Dad! I miss you so much, Dad. On your birthday, I want you to know that I will always cherish the good times we shared together. I love you now and forever,” Faithia Afolabi wrote on Instagram.
Kemi Filani recalls that that Murphy Afolabi died on Sunday, the 14th of May, 2023, after he reportedly slipped on bathroom tiles and hit his head on a hard surface.
Actor Murphy Afolabi’s death came as a shock to many as the actor recently marked his 49th birthday on the 5th of May. Reports by Seun Oloketuyi claimed the actor lost his life after slipping on bathroom tiles.
The actor was buried amidst tears by his children, colleagues, families and friends at his residence in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
Also in the same year, his baby mama, Deenat Animashaun mourned his absence when their daughter, Fathia Afolabi, graduated high school.
The proud mother shed uncontrollable tears of joy while she wished her baby daddy was alive to witness their daughter’s achievements.
Deenat, however, prayed that everything would be perfect for her daughter to achieve all her aims in life.
