Tobey Maguire’s and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Men enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe in “Spider-Man: No Way Home.” While they’re technically alternate-universe versions of the main MCU Spider-Man (Tom Holland), the multiverse era could potentially offer plenty of ways to bring either of them back in the mix — up to and including a new Sam Raimi-Maguire film.

Regardless of whether Raimi ever gets a chance to make “Spider-Man 4,” he has absolutely no complaints about the way the MCU has been handling the character. “I love all the new ‘Spider-Man’ movies,” he said at WonderCon. “I loved ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’. It was really, super powerful seeing Tobey [Maguire] again in it.”

Still, while Raimi might be content to watch Spider-Man from the sidelines, it’s worth noting that he has previously confirmed what we suspected about “Spider-Man 4” with Maguire. Should he get the chance, he’d be more than happy to make the movie.
